THE STORY:
Fearing for her life, an eight year old Teresa Tijeras flees from her strange and abusive father. Thirty years later, her dying "Poppa" appears on her doorstep to try to make amends for his sordid past. She takes him in, only to have Poppa die in her arms, vowing to see her again… soon.
Now she hears voices at night… noises… and the haunting sound of the old Cajun record Poppa used to play… the one she shattered the day after he died.
When the unseen attacks begin, Teresa knows that she must do something or fall victim to her father's dark occult rituals… as she had as a child. Terrified, Teresa calls in parapsychologist Dr. Maureen Fratini to investigate the occurrences.
With her come two wedding videographers, Tom and Grover- eager entrepreneurs ready to do anything to make a name for themselves. With wires, hidden lights, and smoke machines, Tom and Grover secretly rig the house to excite the press and fool their fellow investigators.
But no one is more baffled than Tom when legitimately strange things begin to happen. A dark figure skulks in the shadows, a medium collapses in an epileptic fit, and Grover begins to speak in languages he doesn't know.
It becomes apparent that other forces are at work in the cursed house… and they don't take kindly to fakes. One horrific accident leaves Tom and Grover scrambling to cover up a murderous secret and salvage what they can of their nerves and sanity.
But something in the house will not let them go…
